Dobson House
sits at 7,000 feet on a 100
foot hill in a rift valley overlooking the Rio Grande
Gorge, near natural hot springs. All around, there are
mountains and desert.
The Rio Grande Gorge is 350
feet deep at Dobson House. The hiking and views are
spectacular and there is an interpretive center which
provides information on the local geology, flora and
fauna. Be on the look out for mule deer, hawks, and
eagles who inhabit the area. Fish for northern pike and
trout here. We'll be glad to pack you a lunch.
This is an ideal time for
great downhill and cross country skiing, hiking on the
mesa, llama treks, bird watching or soaking in the hot
springs. |
