As the only guest at
the Apple Blossom
Inn, you have an entire 8 room house to yourself plus a
scrumptious, full breakfast served daily on fine china. The gazebo bordering
the woodland garden on the grounds of the Apple Blossom Inn provides a
restful spot to view robins, bluejays, titmice, tanigers,
rosy finches, sparrows, and woodpeckers. In the spring of 2008, a pair
of nesting bald eagles was sited and viewed daily, only 4 miles from
the Inn. Located near the George Washington National Forest (4 miles)
and the Skyline Drive(23 miles), the Apple Blossom Inn B&B can
be your headquarters for days trips to the mountains to hike and enjoy
the wildlife. You can access the "Daughter of the
Stars," "Tthe Lost Shoe,' and the "Skyline Drive" Trails for
birding listed in the Mountain Area booklet published by the Virginia
Department of Game and Inland Fisheries. The New Market
Battlefield Birding and Wildlife Trail is two miles from The Apple
